Balloon fun

As the boys haven't been here much this week I thought it would be nice to do something fun with them, so I decided to take them to the Bristol balloon fiesta yesterday.

Wasn't too sure it was a going to be good idea on my own, as I was already tired, but they were beautifully behaved and had a great time. So much so that they have asked if we can go back.

We wandered around the craft fayre (where the boys tried on baseball caps made of recyled beer & coke cans), stroked owls, ate candy floss and tried to go on the old fashioned carousel (which has been a dream of Ben's for ages) but it was so loud it made both of them cry! Not so good.

The boys also had fun on a huge bouncy slide - I was very proud of Sam as it was such a long way down!!

We didn't stay for the mass launch as it would have meant leaving Bristol in the rush hour, but we did see balloons inflate and deflate and watched a paraglider display and the parachute team jump.

All in all a great day out, and best of all it was free apart from the £7 to park the car. Definately something to add to our summer holiday activity list for next year!
