Another Proud Mummy Moment

Yes, I know my posts are like buses - none for ages and then two come along at once, but I just had to blog.

We had Benjamin's parents evening yesterday and his class teacher gave us a list of targets for the year (3 levels in each subject - must, should and could be able to do). Benjamin is already achieving should in reading and writing and could in both numeracy and science. But my proud mummy moment came when his teacher told us that he had already achieved the goals in numeracy for the end of year 1 and was going to be given year 2 maths to do. We're only at half term today!

She also asked us if it was ok for her to put Ben on the gifted and talented register for numeracy (and possibly science later). Is it OK? Does she need to ask - would you say "no"?? I was so chuffed I wanted to shout it to the world!

Ben was with us at the parents evening, and he was so proud of himself when she told us how good his work has been!

Sometimes I love being a mum so much!!
