Catching Up

You see, I told you I wouldn't be able to keep it up to date! :o)

So what have I been doing since my last post? Mmm, let me see:

- I got to visit the gardens of Highgrove House with my mum's art group. It was beautiful, a bit mad (does anyone that hasn't been there know what a Stumpery is?) and very inspiring. Sadly no photos were allowed, so I can't show you what we saw, but I did buy a guide book, so I may scan some pics to do a LO with.

- I went to Paperarts for the regular Friday night crop. Didn't get much done as usual, but then I had a good excuse this time. Just before I left home to drive to the crop, I managed to slice a very deep gash in my right thumb (on my ice lolly mould - don't ask!) So I just spent the evening drinking tea, munching on cake and fish & chips and catching up with everyone. Oh and I spent more money on yet another set of Rhonna Farrer stamps. I think I have the beginnings of an addiction!

- Hubby and I went to see a local show called "A Family Affair". Basically mum, dad and 2 teenagers who all sing (or have sung) with Kentwood. They are hugely talented and put on their own show (and made a CD) to raise money for the Prospect Hospice. It was an amazing evening, with a very varied range of music, and more than once I was moved to tears, especially by Chris and Clarry's duets (that's mum and dad).

- we had an induction evening for Sam starting at St Francis nursery last night. Can't believe that he will be off to "school" in September, where has the time gone? Just such a pain that he and Ben will be at different schools.

Apart from that it has been life as usual - Kentwood lessons / rehearsals (we are opening the garden season at The Stables theatre in Milton Keynes on Friday for Cleo Laine & John Dankworth), dancing lessons (last set of pre-bronze exams coming up in a couple of weeks time), trying to keep the new house tidy & clean (oh how I miss my cleaner!) and running around after the kids (I have had more than the usual number on several days this week!)

Oh and mustn't forget the exciting news. Having spent the last few months glued to our TV on a Saturday night, we were very pleased to see that the rest of the viewing public thought as we did, and voted Lee as the winner (we missed seeing the final live). Since we have been voting for him from the beginning, I have booked tickets to Joseph for our wedding anniversary. We have been married 9 years this year, and I am reliably informed that the modern day present for 9 years is a watch. Since Anthony already has a very flash kinetic one, he doesn't need another, so I decided to take him to "watch" Joseph instead! I pushed the boat out and we are staying in London for the night (something we haven't done before) so I am really looking forward to that. Just have to be careful though, as the hotel is opposite New Scotland Yard!!

Blimey, I've just read through what I've written, & I don't half go on! Note to self - must try to blog more regularly, or not write so much! :o))
